What is an operational readiness checklist?

It is the list of things that must be complete, and verified, before an asset can be operated and maintained safely from the day it is handed over. This scorecard is that checklist, scored: 27 questions across the nine streams of the HolisticAM Operational Readiness Framework, measured against your first ore date rather than a generic maturity scale.

What this is, and what it is not

A self-score, not a diagnostic

This tool scores what you tell it. It cannot see your asset register, read your EPC contract or test a work order in your CMMS — and on every project we have assessed, the evidence sits below the intent.

1

You score yourself

Twenty-seven statements, six maturity levels each, taken straight from the assessment instrument we use on paid engagements.

2

We measure against your schedule

Every criterion carries a date it should be complete by, counted back from first ore. That is what turns a maturity score into an exposure.

3

The diagnostic checks the evidence

Three to four weeks, sixty-nine criteria, scored against documents seen rather than answers given, with a gap register and a closure roadmap.

Each of the nine streams carries equal weight here. The full diagnostic weights them against the criticality of your specific asset base, which is why a scorecard percentage and a diagnostic percentage are not the same number. Both sit inside our operational readiness service.
Common questions

Questions people ask before they start

How long does the readiness scorecard take?
About five minutes. It is 27 questions, three for each of the nine streams in the HolisticAM Operational Readiness Framework, plus two questions about your schedule. You answer on a six-level maturity scale and you get your score, your band and your schedule exposure on screen as soon as you finish.
Is the scorecard the same as an operational readiness assessment?
No. The scorecard scores what you tell it, across 27 criteria weighted equally. An Operational Readiness Diagnostic scores all 69 criteria against evidence seen — documents produced, systems tested, data actually loaded — and weights the streams against the criticality of your asset base. On every project we have assessed, the evidence has sat below the intent, which is why the two numbers are rarely the same.
What does an operational readiness checklist cover?
A complete operational readiness checklist covers nine streams: organisational readiness, people and capability, operating model and processes, asset management and maintenance readiness, systems and technology, supply chain and logistics, HSE and regulatory compliance, finance and working capital, and stakeholder and community readiness. A checklist that only covers maintenance and spares will pass a project that cannot legally or commercially operate on day one.
When should a mining project start operational readiness?
Between 24 and 30 months before first ore. Some criteria cannot be retrofitted at all: the asset hierarchy standard, the equipment tagging convention and the vendor data requirements have to be written into the EPC and OEM purchase orders before those contracts are executed. Miss that window and the data has to be rebuilt from scratch after handover, at your cost rather than the contractor’s.
What happens to my answers?
Your result is calculated in your browser and shown to you immediately. Nothing is sent to us unless you ask for the board pack, and then you choose what to tell us. We use it to understand where your project sits before any conversation, so a scoping call starts from your actual gaps rather than from a standard pitch.

Know where the project actually sits

The scorecard tells you what you think. The diagnostic tells you what is true, and gives you the register and roadmap to close the difference.

Fixed fee. Three to four weeks. Scored against your first ore date.
